by road – from the north…

leave the M40 motorway at junction 9 and take the A34 around Oxford, Newbury and Winchester until you join with the M3 motorway (southbound, signposted ‘Southampton’ and ‘Bournemouth’) at junction 9

follow the M3 motorway until you join with the M27 motorway (westbound, signposted ‘Bournemouth’) at junction 14

follow the M27 motorway to it’s end – the road becomes the A31

follow the A31 through the New Forest and Ringwood, following signs to ‘Poole’ (DON’T turn off at the A338, signposted ‘Bournemouth’)

approximately 3 miles after the A338 exit (a short four-laned stretch of road) (after a series of small roundabouts) you will reach a large roundabout with a Lidl superstore to your left – take the first exit, straight on, onto the A348 (Ringwood Road) towards Ferndown (you will pass a Halfords and McDonalds restaurant on your left)

proceed through Ferndown and on to Longham – you will pass over a fairly narrow bridge over a river – the next roundabout after the bridge is called the Bear Cross Roundabout – take the second exit, straight on, onto a dual carriageway

take the second exit off the dual carriageway, just before you would go under a footbridge in to Holloway Avenue (signposted ‘Butchers Coppice’) – you will find the campsite is virtually immediately on the right after this exit from the A348 (second entrance on the right as you turn in to Holloway Avenue)

by road – from the east…

by road – from the west…

follow the A35 towards Poole

shortly before Poole the dual carriageway becomes the A350 for a very short while before becoming the A3049 – continue to follow the natural course of the road and remain on the main route

follow the A3049 until you reach the Mountbatten Roundabout just after a Costcutter store on the left hand side of the road, as the road goes up-hill – this is a large traffic-light controlled roundabout

stay in the left hand lane as you approach the roundabout and take the second exit, also dual carriageway, onto the A348 (Ringwood Road)

at the following roundabout (the High Howe Lane Roundabout), take the second exit, straight on, still dual carriageway, until you reach the Bear Cross Roundabout

at the Bear Cross Roundabout, double back on yourself (third exit) and go back up the dual carriageway for a short while

take the second exit off the dual carriageway, just before you would go under a footbridge in to Holloway Avenue (signposted ‘Butchers Coppice’) – you will find the campsite is virtually immediately on the right after this exit from the A348 (second entrance on the right as you turn in to Holloway Avenue)
