Perch Pool Scout Campsite is a small riverside site by Tuckton Bridge on the banks of the River Stour
The site comprises of a camping field including a campfire circle, a BBQ area and access on to the river via a private slipway – there is also an electric hook-up point in the camping field
There is a small hut which includes a small kitchen, toilets and showers and a small hall with tables and chairs (visitors cannot stay in the hut overnight) – the site is ideal for youth groups looking to use the site as a base for water activities on the River Stour
We welcome Scout and Guide Groups, schools and other bona-fide youth organisations from around the World
Bournemouth is a fantastic venue for short breaks or a longer stay – enjoy seven miles of award winning beaches, the New Forest, the Jurassic Coast or the beautiful Isle of Purbeck – there’s one of the largest selection of tourist attractions anywhere in the country, with something for everyone, including Brownsea Island, the birthplace of Scouting!

We do not provide any camping or water activity equipment or instructors at Perch Pool – you must bring everything you need with you

Perch Pool is a local, friendly campsite, owned by Bournemouth Scouts and are operated entirely by volunteers
Perch Pool is susceptible to flooding in extreme weather conditions and, as such, camping is only offered during the summer period – the site can still flood even during the summer period
