Copse Sites

campers can choose from three smaller sites in the copse area

Copse Site 1 – Copse Site 2 – Copse Site 3

you can take a virtual tour of the campsite online

we have a modern toilet and shower block at the copse entrance to the main field to serve campers and day/evening visitors – the facilities, built in 2007, offer free male and female toilets and hot water showers as well as separate washing points – the block also includes separate disabled toilets and showers and a baby changing area

wood fires and gas cooking are permitted on the site and a well stocked woodpile is provided – a number of alter fires are also available

all copse camping sites are within a very short walk of vehicle access and trolleys can be provided to help you move your kit if necessary

some organisations, for example, the Cub Scout Section, require that emergency shelter is available in the event of an emergency or severe weather – in these circumstances we can arrange basic shelter either on site or locally so that you do not need to hire indoor accommodation just for this reason but if you prefer to have the use of indoor accommodation we have three centres on-site

  • felling or cutting from trees is strictly forbidden
  • you can use quickcheck to give you an immediate indication if your selected field or copse site is available for your chosen dates
  • in the school summer holidays you can arrive any time after 2pm and need to vacate by 11am – arrival and departure times are flexible at all other times
  • only seven day Saturday-Saturday camping bookings will usually be accepted during the school summer holidays
